Job  Activity Specialist
Under supervision of a Property Manager, the Activity Specialist is responsible for planning, organizing, and facilitating daily activities at an assigned KCDC recreation center. The incumbent plans and supervises field trips, hosts guest speakers, and coordinates special events. The Activity Specialist maintains a safe and clean environment for participants.

Job  Apartment Maintenance Technician
Under supervision the Apartment Maintenance Technician performs skilled work in the maintenance and upkeep of apartment buildings and building fixtures. The employee will work as a member of a maintenance crew and performs a variety of skilled tasks in several mechanical and building trades including plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, carpentry, and HVAC.

Job  Assistant Finance Director
The Assistant Finance Director (AFD) works as a member of the Finance Department Leadership Team under the direction of the Finance Director. This position supports KCDC’s accounting functions in accordance with GAAP, GASB, FASB, and HUD guidelines. The AFD assists with month-end close, conducts research, prepares budgets, provides analysis and reporting on financial and compliance measures. This position oversees the Accounts Payable Division.

Job  Leasing and Occupancy Specialist
The Leasing and Occupancy Specialist works as a member of a property management team. This position is responsible for leasing vacant apartments and day-to-day office procedures (leasing, recertifications, inspections, tenant notices). The community may have a mix of market rate / workforce units, Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) units and/or Project Based Rental Assistance (Multi-family). The site must comply with all company policies and all relevant laws and regulations.

Job  Maintenance Supervisor
KCDC is seeking an individual with the desire to manage the maintenance and repair of apartment buildings. The incumbent plans, schedules, assigns, supervises, and coordinates the work of a maintenance crew in the performance of skilled tasks in several of the mechanical and building trades. The community may have a mix of market rate/workforce units, Low Income Public Housing, (LIPH)Low Income Tax Housing Credit (LIHTC) units and/or Project Based Rental Assistance. Your direct team may consist of the following positions depending on the size of the assigned property: Apartment Maintenance Technician(s) and Custodian. The entire KCDC team works together to improve the quality of life of our residents, to ensure well-maintained and attractive properties, and to design outstanding business and professional protocols to achieve maximum funding to expand affordable housing in Knoxville and Knox County.

The community may have a mix of market rate/workforce units, Low Income Public Housing, (LIPH)Low Income Tax Housing Credit (LIHTC) units and/or Project Based Rental Assistance. Your direct team may consist of the following positions depending on the size of the assigned property: an Assistant Property Manager, Leasing and Occupancy Specialist (s), Maintenance Supervisor, Apartment Maintenance Technician(s), and Custodian. The entire KCDC team works together to improve the quality of life of our residents, to ensure well-maintained and attractive properties, and to design outstanding business and professional protocols to achieve maximum funding to expand affordable housing in Knoxville and Knox County.

Job  Supportive Services Associate
Under the supervision of the Supportive Services Coordinator (SSC), the Supportive Services Associate (SSA) is responsible for ensuring effective service delivery to senior residents. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of six (6) months of experience assisting residents in a senior housing facility. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Possession of a valid driver’s license and the ability to be insurable under the Authority’s automobile insurance plan at the standard rate. This position requires physical strength and agility to train and assist food/supply vendors and contract staff with meal delivery and cleaning. Duties include activities such as sitting, walking, climbing stairs, standing for long periods of time, bending, reaching, stooping, lifting and carrying heavy supplies. Must be able to operate office equipment and drive an automobile. The employee must be able to exchange information in person, in writing, and via telephone. The employee must occasionally transport up to 25 pounds.
