Job  Accountant
The Accountant works as a member of the Finance Team under the direction of the Senior Accountant and maintains the Authority’s financial records in accordance with Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) accounting and auditing principles. This position performs tasks related to financial accounting, budgeting, and reporting. The Accountant is responsible for performing complex account reconciliations as well as interpreting and applying HUD, program, and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) requirements to financial operations. This position aids departmental efforts to manage revenue and disburse funds in accordance with appropriate policies, procedures, and GAAP.

Job  Accounting Technician II
Under the general supervision, performs journey-level technical accounting work processing, balancing, adjusting and maintaining various accounts. Work is performed in the areas of accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and other financial accounts for designated housing, development and grant programs. Work involves preparing and analyzing general ledger accounts, tax and benefit accounts, reconciling accounts and maintaining accurate fiscal records. Work may include cash collection activity of all agency receipts. Duties require independent judgment in daily activities, with general instructions on special projects or new assignments. Work is submitted to the supervisor upon completion and is subject to external audit as well as internal financial and administrative controls.

Job  Apartment Maintenance Technician
Under supervision the Apartment Maintenance Technician performs skilled work in the maintenance and upkeep of apartment buildings and building fixtures. The employee will work as a member of a maintenance crew and performs a variety of skilled tasks in several mechanical and building trades including plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, carpentry, and HVAC.

Job  Custodian, Full Time
The Custodian performs general janitorial work to maintain assigned KCDC buildings and grounds. This position is responsible for keeping common areas clean and clear of debris to reduce risk to residents, visitors, and staff.

Job  IT Director
The Information Technology (IT) Director serves as a member of the Leadership Team (LT) under the direction of the Vice President of Administration. As a member of the LT, the IT Director is involved in strategic planning and initiatives which drive the Agency to achieve its strategies and goals. Your direct report team consists of highly experienced and professional staff including a Network Engineer, Systems Engineer, and IT Analyst I. You will manage all information technology such as IT infrastructure, security and employee facing software for the agency to support efficient and effective business operations. KCDC’s workforce consists of 150 members who work together to improve the quality of life of our residents, to ensure well-maintained and attractive properties, and to ensure outstanding business and professional protocols designed to achieve maximum funding in order to provide optimal housing outcomes for Knoxville area residents. The IT Director has an amazing opportunity to shape KCDC’s future and operations by identifying strategic technology initiatives to advance automation, security and efficient business processes across the Agency.

Job  Real Estate Associate
Under general supervisor of the Redevelopment and Real Estate Director, the Real Estate Associate performs professional work of a highly responsible nature to support the financing, development, and acquisition of real estate. The incumbent researches, prepares, and review applications for loans, grants, tax credit allocations and bond issuances to finance acquisition and/or development of multifamily housing. The position will be responsible for interfacing with local, state and federal agencies, equity partners and consultants. The Real Estate Associate is also responsible for analyzing complex housing project financing and making sound recommendations that comply with legal requirements, regulatory conditions, and governing policies.

Job  VP-Housing
The Vice President of Housing (VPH) serves as a member of the Executive Management Team (EMT) under the leadership of the Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer (CEO). As a member of the EMT, the VPH is involved in strategic planning and initiatives which drive the Agency to achieve its mission, vision and goals. Your direct team consists of 2 Housing Operations Directors, a Compliance Director, and a Maintenance and Construction Director. The 90-member full operations team works together to improve the quality of life of our residents, to ensure well-maintained and attractive properties, and to ensure outstanding business and professional protocols designed to achieve maximum funding in order to provide optimal housing outcomes for Knoxville area residents.
