|Under supervision of the Property Manager, the Assistant Property Manager assists with the management of a residential apartment community. This position is responsible for leasing vacant apartments, completing recertifications, conducting inspections, and sending tenant notices. The community may have a mix of Project Based Rental Assistance, Low Income Tax Credit, Public Housing or Market Rate units. All work must comply with company policies, laws and regulations. |Under the direction of the Property Manager, the Leasing and Occupancy Specialist provides clerical and administrative support in the property leasing office. This position is responsible for leasing vacant apartments and day-to-day office procedures (leasing, recertifications, inspections, tenant notices). The community may have a mix of market rate / workforce units, Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) units and/or Project Based Rental Assistance (Multi-family). The site must comply with all company policies and all relevant laws and regulations. All activities must support Knoxville’s Community Development Corporation’s (“KCDC” or “Authority”) mission, strategic goals, and objectives.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of one (1) year of experience providing general clerical support in an office setting. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Preference may be given to applicants proficient in the use of Yardi.
Preference may be given to applicants with the ability to speak and understand Spanish..
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS
CPO, COS, or Bended Occupancy Specialist Certification must be obtained within 2 years of service.
Some positions may require possession of a valid driver’s license and the ability to be insurable under the Authority’s automobile insurance plan at the standard rate.|
|Reporting to the Property Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor performs administrative and skilled supervisory work in the maintenance and repair of apartment buildings. The incumbent plans, schedules, assigns, supervises, and coordinates the work of a maintenance crew in the performance of skilled tasks in several of the mechanical and building trades.|
|Under general supervision, provides clerical support to housing operations for special projects. Duties include scanning paperwork for software conversion, gathering and verifying information from residents and filing. Providing timely and courteous customer service is a high priority. Decisions are controlled through supervisory review and additional guidance is provided through established policies, procedures and guidelines.|
|Under the supervision of the Procurement Director, the Procurement Analyst provides professional support for KCDC staff for procuring goods and services while ensuring compliance with KCDC’s procurement related policies as well as applicable state and federal laws. The position also involves the issuing and awarding of RFBs, RFPs and RFQs, as well as contract administration functions.|
|Under general supervisor of the Redevelopment and Real Estate Director, the Real Estate Associate performs professional work of a highly responsible nature to support the financing, development, and acquisition of real estate. The incumbent researches, prepares, and review applications for loans, grants, tax credit allocations and bond issuances to finance acquisition and/or development of multifamily housing. The position will be responsible for interfacing with local, state and federal agencies, equity partners and consultants. The Real Estate Associate is also responsible for analyzing complex housing project financing and making sound recommendations that comply with legal requirements, regulatory conditions, and governing policies.|
|KCDC has internship positions available for highly qualified students interested in learning more about affordable housing. Positions will provide an enhancement to the education experience and are available in policy, geography, agriculture, architecture, accounting, law, and related fields. This opportunity will provide the intern with an opportunity to become very familiar with subsidized housing and the importance of affordable housing.
KCDC serves as the public housing authority for both the City of Knoxville and Knox County and the redevelopment agency for the City of Knoxville. KCDC provides affordable housing at 20 separate sites for some 3,500 families and individuals while concurrently administering some 4,000 section 8 vouchers.
